The Kunstlerhaus Anton Thuswaldner Museum

The Künstlerhaus and the surrounding sculptures give you a glimpse of the memoirs of Anton Thuswaldner and showcase exhibits from different periods of his work. Sculpture, painting, drawing, land art, action art - he tackled all these tasks over the course of his long life, and no material remained unknown to him. He irritated, provoked, admonished, and shook up; his sharp humor spared no one, not even himself. The historic building was constructed before 1900 by Nikolaus Gassner. Around the turn of the century, he began to develop the Kaprun valley for tourism. After the death of Anton Thuswaldner, the villa was carefully renovated by the artist's daughter.
