Vocal recital with Helmut Deutsch - "It sings in me" - Music festival

Helmut Deutsch is one of the world's most successful and sought-after song accompanists. Born and educated in Vienna, he received the Composition Prize of the City of Vienna in 1965 and became a professor at the age of 24. His preferred partners include renowned singers such as Jonas Kaufmann, Diana Damrau and Piotr Beczala. His work is documented on over one hundred recordings.

Alongside his career, Deutsch is passionately dedicated to training young talent. After his professorship in Vienna, he taught at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich for 28 years and still gives numerous master classes in Europe and Asia. He remains associated with various universities through guest professorships.

Florian Störtz is the winner of the International Handel Singing Competition 2023 and the Helmut Deutsch Lied Competition 2023. Next season he will be touring Europe with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment performing Bach's St. Matthew Passion and making his debut at the Handel Festival Halle. He recently returned to the London Handel Festival for a production of "Esther" under the direction of Laurence Cummings and toured with Bach's Christmas Oratorio under Masaaki Suzuki. His recording of Duruflé's Requiem with the Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge, was released by Hyperion.
